Africa to Remember!
by Linda Winslow

After 28 years in the travel business, I didn’t think anything would take my breath away. Well after visiting Zambia, Botzwana and South Africa, I have the dust of Africa in my soul. In 16 days I was able to ride an elephant (twice, once in daylight and once at night with torches) experience the majesty of Victoria Falls, enjoy nine photo safaris with animals only a couple of feet away from our land rover and come to know how truly blessed I was to meet the people of Africa.

Then off to Savuti in Botswana where we had the most beautiful accommodations, delicious food and very well educated guides. After this we went to for 2 days to Little Vubura Camp which is a water camp. We stayed on the water and saw loads of hippos, crocks, elephants and every kind of wild life you would expect.

Our last camp was the famed Mombo Camp which was voted one of the most beautiful camps in Africa. Two nights flew by as we saw every animal we could think of except the leopard. It was very sad to be in the land rover chasing the animals off the landing strip so our little plane could pick us up for our last flight out of the bush.

We finished with four days in Capetown seeing all the sights in town and spending 2 nights in Franschoek (the wine country) in the most fabulous 16 room hotel called La Residence.

I can’t wait to go back to Africa and share all these experiences with others who truly will be touched by the people as well as the land itself.
